Pediatrician – Full-Time

The Department of Pediatric and Neonatal Medicine is actively recruiting a full-time pediatrician to join our innovative, multi-disciplinary referral and teaching hospital.
This is a community general consulting position that would include neonatal and pediatric inpatient and outpatient care. The neonatal unit provides intensive care to newborns and has a 5-bed capacity. Timmins and District Hospital manage babies with a gestational age of 34 weeks and above and serves as a Level 2A consulting neonatal center. Deliveries average 600 per year. Children requiring inpatient pediatric care are served by a five-bed inpatient unit. There is access to multidisciplinary asthma and diabetes clinics, as well as complex care clinics. Reasonable on-call expectations and flexible work hours.
There is also an opportunity to teach and mentor medical students and family medicine residents, through affiliation with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.

Generous compensation package through an alternate funding plan with the Pediatric Associates of Timmins and District, HOCC stipend, Pediatric Stabilization Program, and shadow billings.
